South Coast Staff Ltd, are recruiting for experienced FULL-TIME (48 HOURS) Healthcare Assistants.
Help residents by supporting personal hygiene, providing comfort and daily living needs in the Care Homes we supply to.
* Provide residents personal hygiene by giving bedpans, urinals, baths, shampoos and shaves; assisting to the bathroom; helping with showers and baths.
*Promoting daily living by assistance with serving meals, feeding residents as necessary; ambulating, turning, and positioning residents. Providing drinks.
*Maintaining resident stability by checking observational signs and body mass; recording intake and output information.
*Providing comfort; answering residents’ call lights and requests; reporting observations of the resident to nurse/supervisors.
* Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
* Maintaining work operations by following policies and procedures.
* Protect organisational values by keeping resident information confidential.
A valid DBS is required for all roles; or at the cost of the applicant we can apply for one.
If you’re in receipt of a benefit, in contact with Jobcentre Plus or local government authorities/charities you may be able to get assistance in paying for this.
Be flexible; You may and will be required to work at short notice.
Car drivers preferred but all homes are accessible by using public transport; Our care homes are in Hayling Island , Southbourne, Portsmouth , Fareham, Gosport and Surrounding areas.
A valid Moving and Handling Certificate.
NVQ in Health and Social Care (Not essential).
Qualifications or recognised training in any of the following: Infection Control, Nursing/Residential Care, Health & Safety, Safeguarding, First Aid, Challenging Behaviour, Mental Capacity Act/ Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, Epilepsy and Record Keeping.
